Why did you decide to attend UW-Madison?
When I was finishing up high school, I was convinced that I didn’t want to (or need to) pursue education any further. My parents wisely talked me into attending UW-Madison, and I am forever grateful that they did. Madison has proven to broaden my horizons, help me focus on my goals in life and more fully understand them at the same time.
What has been your favorite course?
As a dairy science major, I shouldn’t admit to this, but Tom Crenshaw’s Monogastric Nutrition course, Animal Science 415, has been my favorite course on campus. I learned to think outside the box when it comes to balancing rations, and I had a great time doing it. Trips to the Brookfield Zoo and out to work with pigs at Arlington for our research questions made the class very enjoyable.
What are your future career goals?
To be a tireless proponent of the dairy industry (and sustainability within it).
