ANIMAL SCIENCES BUILDING

Offices and laboratories for Dairy Science faculty and staff are located in the Animal Sciences Building, 1675 Observatory Drive. Student reference rooms, study areas, and classrooms are also located in the building. The building houses the Dairy Science Department, the Animal Sciences Department, the Center for Dairy Profitability, and the College Computing Facility.

Driving Directions:

From the east side of Madison,

• Take Hwy 151 (East Washington Ave.) west towards the Capitol.
• Turn right on First St.
• Turn left on E. Johnston St.
• E. Johnson St. turns into E. Gorham St.
• Turn right on Charter St.
• Turn left on Observatory Dr.
• Go straight at the intersection with Babcock Dr.
• The Animal Science Building will be located on your left at the corner of Obseratory Dr. and Linden Dr.

From the west side of Madison,

• Take University Ave. east towards the Capitol.
• Take a slight right onto University Ave. (where University Ave. and Campus Dr. split).
• Turn left on Walnut St.
• Turn right on Observatory Dr.
• The Animal Science Building will be located on your right at the corner of Obseratory Dr. and Linden Dr.

From the south side of Madison,

• Take Park St. north towards the Capitol.
• Take a left onto University Ave.
• Turn right on Charter St.
• Turn left on Observatory Dr.
• Go straight at the intersection with Babcock Dr.
• The Animal Science Building will be located on your left at the corner of Obseratory Dr. and Linden Dr.

Parking:

Two hour parking meters are available on the top level of Lot 36 (Russell Labs parking ramp next to the Animal Science Building). Additional eight hour meters are available in Lot 43 (one block west next to the Seeds Building and the Poultry Research Lab. The UW Campus route bus (Route 80) is free of charge and has stops next to the Animal Science Building heading both east and west.
